Green Grins is an advocate for mental health and positivity. Through our work, we aim to bring the mental health benefits of gardening to as many individuals as possible, providing the society with an avenue of self-healing. This gives us more control over our thoughts and emotions which in turn affects our actions.

Gardening is positively contagious.

One of the most obvious benefits of gardening is that it allows you to spend time outside in nature. Being in nature has been shown to have a calming effect on the mind and body, and can help to reduce stress and anxiety.

Gardening also provides a sense of accomplishment and purpose. It can be incredibly satisfying to watch your plants grow and thrive, and the process of nurturing and caring for them can be a source of joy and fulfilment.

It can be a great way to connect with others, whether it's through community gardens or sharing tips and advice with fellow gardening enthusiasts.

Gardening is proof that the right care and nurturing instill growth.

The act of gardening helps us to develop a sense of agency which is the awareness that different ways we interact with plants and humans effect how they thrive or react. Reminding us that the actions we take does in fact influence the life of another being. When given the right kind of care and nurturing process, plants show that actions and efforts pay off. That tells us to do the same of ourselves in order to achieve our goals.

Gardening is an enjoyable and beneficial activity that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and abilities. It can help to reduce stress and anxiety, improve mood and cognitive function, and provide a sense of purpose and accomplishment. If you're looking for a way to boost your mental health, consider taking up gardening – you may be surprised at the positive impact it can have.

Gardening is an avenue to connect people again for a good cause.

One great benefit of gardening can be seen in how it acts as an avenue to connect and bring people back once again. Connecting families and people to make a positive change. New people each day are positively influenced by gardening and this effect brings people together into a community where mental health and environmental issues are being made aware. These movements have been around for a long time but there’s still a huge room for improvement.

Expanding our community.

Besides our own Grinners support community, we also plan visits to various local communities and non-profit groups that share our causes to understand their works better and to spread our grins around to more people. Follow us on Facebook and instagram or let us know if there is a local community you know that we should put on our list.
